Topics will include: Defining a Small Business Debtor: How the Bankruptcy Code classifies small businesses and the significance of eligibility requirements. Streamlined Procedures Under Subchapter V: An introduction to the simplified and expedited process created to help small businesses reorganize successfully. Role of the Subchapter V Trustee: Understanding the trustee’s limited but important role in facilitating consensual plans. Plan Confirmation and Discharge: Differences in plan requirements, voting rules, and discharge timing compared to standard Chapter 11 cases.
